Faraya-Mzaar is chiefly known for the excellent skiing facilities in nearby Ouyoun es-Siman, but a lot goes on in summer too, when the mountain town enjoys a comfortable climate. The ski resort has an elevation of 1,891 meters with the highest run starting at 2,463 meters. These slopes overlook one of the finest views in Lebanon, encompassing the Beqaa, Mount Hermon, Laqlouq, the Cedars and the coast.
