As any other specimen, there will be ancestors and descendents. We have decided to honor the donkey's ancestor, the Equus africanus, or, as it's more commonly know as, the African wild donkey. Originating from northeast Africa, the African wild donkey is best habited in a desert like environment, great for those living in Gobi desert of Asia or the great Patagonian desert of North America. Although the African wild donkey is suited for deserts, please note that this does not include the Antarctic desert or the arctic desert. They will not be able to survive in such conditions. We also suggest that if you're searching to own a male African wild donkey, that you own a large plot of land, as they like to claim miles and miles of land as its own.
