Default Living room corner tank~ 水槽コーナー

Hi everyone,

Hand itchy, went to setup 2 tanks for my living room~

List of equipments and all:

(Left)
Tank : Front Curved Tank (26x17x19cm)
Filter : Gex Slim Filter SS (HOF)
Lighting : a clip-on LED (from my previous decomm-ed Marina Cubus Betta Tank Kit)
Substrate : Gex 水草一番サンド (aquatic plant best sand)
Gravel : Gex 真珠砂 (Pearl sand)
Additional Conditioner : Mosura Old Sea Mud Powder
Plants & stuffs: Amazon Sword, Java moss tied on driftwood, rocks
Thermometer: Gex SS size small thermometer
Fauna: 1 small Oto, 6 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, 3 Red Balloon Platies (inside 1.2L SUDO Satellite Breeding Box with 16 fry!)

(Right)
Tank : Gex Deskboy Slim 450 (45x17x25.4cm)
Main Filter : Gex Slim Filter L (HOF)
"Pre" Filter : Gex Power Corner Filter F1 (Internal)
Lighting : UP-Aqua Pro T Series LED Light (45cm) -> Changed to Rainbow L48 Clip-on LED which i clamped it at the back of the HOF as i find the light not able to "clamp" onto the brace of the tank and keep slipping off.
Substrate : Gex 水草一番サンド (aquatic plant best sand)
Gravel: Gex 桜砂 (Sakura sand) in the center
Additional Conditioner : Mosura Old Sea Mud Powder
Plants & stuffs: Java fern, Java moss tied on driftwood, rocks, amazon sword, 红太阳 aka red sun?, alternanthera rosaefolia, anubias
Thermometer: UP aqua digital thermometer
Fauna: 2 small Oto, 17 Ember Tetra, 10 Neon Tetra, 1 "Sharingan" Guppy

Both tanks are filled with water from my cycled cube tank, and partial from tap + aquatuner & azoo 11in1 bio bacterial and still cycling~

added 2 female and 1 male Red Balloon Platies on monday evening, acclimated using my usual method, float the bag and drip in tank water bit by bit and release after 30-40mins...

trim and cut the plastic grating to use as "lid" as im afraid they might jump out at night

and the next day morning, i spotted 3 fry in the curved tank!! and i quickly catch them out into the breeding box, and they were so good at hiding given their tiny size, i had to remove the HOF, rocks and driftwood just to catch them safely...

and the mama platy continue to give birth to a total of 17 fry!
1 died though,,,

I honestly think both your tanks look quite nice for its size. But the white sand is alittle too jarring for my taste. Just my opinion maybe when it gets more matured the colour will tone down a couple shades.

Anyway, Good luck with the fry and thanks for sharing!

Agreed with you bro, will look much nicer with black base as those white area really glare the eyes.

the breeding tank is just connected to air-pump so the water from the main tank gets pump into the breeding box to regulate the oxygen and maintaining the flow.

im using this Sudo Satelite external breeding box (M)

in my room im using this (S) size for my shrimplets

(L) for ??? didnt check the price though
(M) for $9
(S) for $8

both can be found at C328~

i'm ordering this from ebay, waiting for it to arrive.. so can protect my shrimplets from escaping into the main tank,

May check this site for the dimensions before you go down and purchase to ensure it fits nicely onto your tank.

oh ya forgot to mention, there's no filtration inside the breeding box, hence you gotta do manual "water change" by using a syringe to suck out all the dirt n etc from the breeding box as it will sink to the bottom and wont be flowing out into the main tank..
