Delilah Lives

The question on everybody's mind after hearing Plain White T's chart topping tune, "Hey there Delilah", would have to be, "Does "Delilah" exist?" Indeed she does. Delilah DiCrescenzo is the real girl featured from the song written by Tom Higgenson (Plain White T's vocalist)

The story is told by Tom himself that Delilah is a girl he met awhile back and quotes that, "I was struck by both her beauty and her unusual given name, and promised her I'd write a song in her honor." So he did. He also stated that the song would be the band's first hit and famous success, and it seems to be that he kept his word. Another question on fans mind is, "Are they a couple now?" Tom's response to that was, "No, I wasn't really expecting anything like, you know, her to run into my arms or anything like that," Higgenson said. "It was just she inspired the song and ... I wanted to give it to her."

It is said that Delilah has a boyfriend who has been a "good sport" through all of this. As for Delilah's input in all of this, she simply says, "It is romanticized, but the song means so much to so many people, so I'm happy it's had so much success, and I don't mind playing along with it".
