This 2-km long beach, located in the north of Corfu between Acharavi and Lake Antinioti, has preserved the untouched, picturesque nature of Greece. Its hospitality offers all visitors an opportunity to enjoy the authenticity of the region. Almyros is reminiscent of how Greek beaches looked 100 years ago.
It is a wide, spacious beach with clean water where tranquility prevails. It is perfect for bringing your children. The beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas belonging to nearby hotels. However, they are often overlooked, and you can use any one of them for free. But "civilization" is not as far as one might think: cozy taverns are just separated from the beach by a row of plants. Therefore, you won't need to bring bags of food with you; instead, try some skillfully prepared Greek meals in one of the local restaurants. Although, setting up a picnic is not a bad idea either (especially if you have driven here in a car). What can be more romantic than admiring the view of a red sea sunset during dinner?
You can walk to Almyros from Acharavi, and if you're coming from the airport, you can take a bus, call a taxi, or rent a car.
