Skala Eressos beach
It is located in the western part of Lesvos near Eressos village. These places have attracted poets and philosophers since ancient times, the legendary Sappho was born here. In her honor, a Women's festival, which attracts feminists from all over the world is held annually in September in Eresos.

The beach is quite narrow but stretched and surrounded by high hills with tall grass atop them. A special zone with umbrellas and deck chairs is located in the middle, while on the edges you can lay on your own towels or even set up a tent. The Blue flag award, an indicator of comfort and cleanliness, wails with pride over the beach. The clean turquoise sea and the nearby rocks attract diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, for whom a special camping site is situated on the shore.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
