Checkerboard Cichlid (Dicrossus filamentosus)

Purchased three of these beautiful fish (they were small) a few weeks ago. Two didn’t make a week as believed they were picked off by larger fish. They didn’t show any signs of stress etc. Actually schooled for the most part. The one that didn’t get picked off is doing great. He is growing and does not fear the other fish. Stays mainly at the bottom and comes out to the front at feeding time. I will definitely buy more of these.
