Coastal region bordered by the Ionian Sea, now divided between Greece and Albania.

In 1941 the Greek section was added to Albania, which had been an Italian possession from 1939.   In 1943 Italian rule ended, by the end of 1944 the Germans had gone from Albania, and Greece had recovered its part of Çamëria.
