EUGENE, Ore. – Two Columbia track alums have advanced deep in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. On Friday night, Delilah DiCrescenzo '05CC will compete in the women's 3,000m steeplechase finals and Liam Boylan-Pett '08CC will race in the men's 1,500m semi-finals.

NBC Sports Network will air live U.S. Olympic Team Trials track & field finals on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (ET).

DiCrescenzo, who is representing Puma and New Jersey-New York Track Club, will run in her 3,000m steeplechase at 7:45 p.m. (ET). She will be running in lane 6. The finals heat features 14 athletes and the top three athletes with the Olympic A Standard of 9:43.00 will make Team USA. DiCrescenzo is capable of hitting that mark. Her career-best 9:40.63 that she ran at the 2011 Birmingham Diamond Meet ranks as the fourth-best seed time of the runners in the finals.

DiCrescenzo qualified for the finals on July 25 when she took fourth in Heat 1 of the prelims with a time of 9:49.15. That time ranks ninth among the 14 finalists.

Boylan-Pett also runs for New Jersey-New York Track Club and his men's 1,500m semi-final starts at 7:25 p.m. (ET) -- right before the women's 3,000m steeplechase. There are two heats with 12 runners each (24 semifinalists total) and the top 12 will advance to the finals on July 1. Boylan-Pett is running in lane 7 of Heat 1. In the finals, the top three runners hitting the Olympic standard of 3:35.50 will make Team USA.

Boylan-Pett qualified for the semi-finals on Thursday after he took fifth in Heat 3 with a time of 3:41.17. His time ranks ninth among the 24 semifinalists. His personal best in the 1,500m is the 3:37.05 he ran at the Swarthmore College Last Chance Meet on May 14.
