Roadmap Marker diagram
You can model a mix of the following artifact types in the Roadmap Marker diagram, out of the box:
ArchiMate Application Component (Physical).
You can add other types through easy customization of the metamodel through usrprops.txt.
To build the roadmap, complete these steps:
1 Select the Roadmap Element symbol and draw it on the diagram. Name it.
2 Go to the Symbol tab of the Roadmap Element, and specify a Start Date and End Date of the roadmap.
3 Go to Page 2 of the Symbol tab, and specify definition types to track in the roadmap.
4 For each definition added to the Roadmap, go to its Roadmap Marker tab.
a On Page 1 of the Roadmap Marker tab, you can choose a color of the overarching ribbon of the definition as presented on the diagram.
b On Page 2 of the Roadmap Marker tab, specify Time Periods for the definition, with Start and End dates. You can also specify a Milestone Date for a Time Period. Examples: Design, Develop, Test, and eGA of a Physical Application Component Version or a Product Version, and so on.
5 You can also specify a Color for each Time Period by opening its definition and specifying it within the Roadmap tab. You will not see this property in the grid – you must open each Time Period definition to access it.
