Since 1963, specialists have gathered for the International Symposium on Ostracoda (ISO). Every four years, ISO brings together experts on fossil and living ostracods to foster connections. ISO stimulates international dialog and an exchange of research ideas. In 2017, the 18th ISO at UCSB is proud to host ostracod workers from all nations, from disciplines ranging from biology to geology, and with expertise on all geological periods from the Cambrian to the present.
