FREE Dance Trials!
September 1, 2021 @ 1:00 pm – 6:30 pm
Have an avid dancer in your family? Try out a variety of Westport YMCA Dance classes in one fell swoop! Trial classes will run Tuesday, August 31st and Wednesday, September 1st. Join us for an hour of dancing fun! Formal dance attire is not required.

Hippy Hoppin’ Shake, ages 2-4
1:00-1:30PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, jazz/ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face Focus is on coordination and rhythm while demonstrating basic locomotor movements.
Mini Divas, ages 3-5
1:30-2:00PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, jazz/ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face A combination of hip hop and jazz, dancers will learn fun and upbeat combinations while bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements.
Classes Available After School!
Ballet, ages 5-7
4:15-4:45PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face Dancers will learn introductory ballet steps and terminology.
Jazz, ages 7-9
4:45-5:30PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, jazz/ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face Focus is on strength, flexibility and progression.
Jazz, ages 9-11
5:30-6:00PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, jazz/ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face Focus is on strength, flexibilty and progression.
Lyrical/Contemporary, ages 11+
6:00-6:30PM
Attire – comfortable clothes, ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back from face An expressive form of movement that combines multiple genres.
