SARANAC LAKE — The first baby of the new year for the Adirondack Medical Center is Caleb Lee Williams, the second son to Justin and Katie Williams of Tupper Lake.

Caleb was born at 6:46 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2. Katie said his first week in this world has been good and healthy.

“He’s doing perfect,” she said in a phone interview Wednesday. “He’s just the best baby ever.”

Caleb’s older brother is 3-year-old Carson, another name starting with “C.” That was more of a coincidence, not a pattern, Katie said. It was Justin’s turn to pick a name.

“I originally wanted Emmett, but my husband wanted Caleb and he waited till the last minute to pick a name,” she said.

Justin is an assistant store manager at Coakley Home and Hardware, and Katie is a stay-at-home mom.
