Neolamprologus Multifasciatus (Shell Dweller Cichlid)
Neolamprologus multifasciatus, commonly referred to as "multis" and Multi Cichlids in the aquarium community, is a small shell-dwelling cichlid endemic to the deep water off the coast of Lake Tanganyika in Africa. Multis (or multies) are the most common and smallest variety, known for their thin, vertical striping and bright blue eyes.
The term shell dwellers mean that these cichlids make their homes in and around abandoned snail shells. You need to provide an adequate number of shells. To reduce fighting among males, cover the sand entirely with shells if possible so that you have a minimum of three shells per fish
