The incredible moment a frogfish 'with legs' WALKS along the seabed in Indonesia

  • Frogfish was filmed by a diver in the water of Lembeh in Sulawesi, Indonesia
  • It appears to be walking, because the species lacks a swim bladder
  • They use their modified pectoral fins to walk, or even gallop, across the seafloor

They are known as the 'masters of disguise' for their unbelievable ability to camouflage with their surroundings.

And now, a keen diver has caught a video of a rare frogfish in action.

The incredible video shows a frogfish moving along the sea bed in the water of Lembeh in Sulawesi, Indonesia.

FROGFISH

Frogfish are a type of anglerfish that can be found around the world.

The fish do not have scales, and instead have a textured exterior that helps them to camouflage.

With a mouth that can expand to 12 times its resting size, frogfish can catch a range of prey, including other fish and crustaceans.

In the video, the frogfish appears to be walking, because the species lacks a swim bladder.
