Lincoln Cathedral

Lincoln Cathedral sits on an escarpment, dominating the landscape and visible for miles.  The vast church has a Norman core built by William the Conqueror’s cousin Remigius and was embellished by early English Gothic in the restoration by St Hugh of Lincoln at the end of the 12th century.

Visitors can enjoy a guided floor tour as part of their admission price, as well as a selection of specialist tours including historic graffiti, stained glass and roof tours.

The new visitor centre includes an exhibition gallery showcasing the cathedral’s Romanesque Frieze, a Discovery Centre with hands-on activities for all the family and an inviting café and gift shop.

Watch the Lincoln peregrine falcons live here.
