Fellow IMCDB members, I present the most important event of Top Gear's history. As I previously reported back in September, Richard Hammond suffered a substantial car accident whilst driving a jet powered car at over 200 mph - he was thought to have sustained a significant brain injury. Thankfully he is now fine, and now finally the accident in question was broadcasted last night for the first time to the eager audience of Top Gear. The uprising tension in this series debut was evident, and the crash itself is breathtaking.

He was quite lucky to recover from this accident :wow:

About that car, I think that it is better to list such vehicles as "Custom Made" rather than using their name as a make, as they are usually unique

You have to admire Hammond for not only surviving this ordeal and making a full recovery but being able to have a sense of humour about it. He's the man.

Apparently, James may was originally supposed to do that feature.
As an "extra gag" of putting Captain Slow in a dragster.
Now experts say that he'd have suffered much worse (if not fatal) injuries, due to being a good bit taller.
Just watch the bit when Hammond returns and they show the accident, he's VERY silent during that bit.
