Amanda Holden is gearing up to strip fully naked as part of a X-rated new TV show, titled Sex: A Bonkers History. In a teaser clip from the new TV series, the Britain's Got Talent judge, 52, is seen stripping off and hopping into bathtub while dressed as Cleopatra for the new five-part series.
The mum-of-two's new Sky History series will follow the sizzling secrets of the last 2,500, and joined by presenter, Dan Jones, Amanda will explore how sexual behaviour has shaped civilizations, with the series set to hit TV screens in September.
Sky History's Sex: A Bonkers History will use archive footage and dramatic reconstruction, with Amanda and Dan taking the leading roles to play the parts of some of the the best and most controversial sex stories in history.
In one scene from the new series, Amanda will dip in a candlelit bath, after stripping completely naked – all the while wearing a Cleopatra wig and the queen of Egypt's iconic makeup look.
In the teaser clip, obtained by The Sun, Amanda says: "Enjoying a soak from her bathtub. History on the whole has been written by men. So sorry Cleopatra, despite all your accomplishments, your savvy political manoeuvring and incredible intellect, you'll forever be remembered as the woman who bonked her way to the top."
Hosts Amanda and Dan will explore how attitudes towards sex and sexuality have evolved throughout the ages, from the origination of the first contraceptive in ancient Egypt to swinging in Britain during the 1970s. The pair will also set out to discover if sexual attitudes in the 20th century have changed more than in any other period in history.
Fans of Amanda Holden will be pleased to discover that throughout the series, the TV star is set to dress up as four more iconic women throughout history – from the Tudor period as Queen Elizabeth I, through the Georgian and Victorian era as Queen Charlotte and Queen Victoria. Amanda will also channel her inner Marilyn Monroe as the series explores historical women from the 20th century.
Sex: A Bonkers History is set to air on Sky History sometime next month.
