Where is Pamela Anderson now? She won’t watch Hulu’s Pam & Tommy and is making her own Netflix documentary instead – what else has she done since quitting social media?
Pamela Anderson might be considered modern Hollywood’s archetypal sex symbol – in all the outdated, outmoded and regressive glory that term conjures in 2022. Apart from portraying the red swimsuit-clad C.J. Parker on the hit television series Baywatch from 1992-1997, she is also one of the most famous Playboy girls of all time – appearing on the cover of the magazine 14 times in the US, and over 100 times internationally.
So what has Pammie been up to lately, and what did she really think of Pam & Tommy?
She has been married six times – with her shortest marriage lasting 12 days
After her four-year entanglement with Lee, Anderson married Kid Rock in July 2006 before calling it off later that year. She married again in 2007 to poker player Rick Salomon, but had this marriage annulled. The two reunited and remarried in 2014, but got divorced a year later.
In 2020, Anderson, now 54, married Hollywood producer Jon Peters before filing for a divorce only 12 days later. Peters later told Page Six that they had married on a whim and she changed her mind within a day and a half.
Only seven months later, Pamela married her former bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst. The two tied the knot on Christmas Eve 2020 and lived together through the pandemic. However, People announced earlier this year that the two had separated after one year of marriage.

She quit social media and moved back to Canada
In 2020, Anderson moved back to her hometown of Vancouver Island, Canada. She told The New York Times that she currently lives in her grandmother’s property, where she grew up with her family.
She also made the decision to quit social media in January 2021, posting on Instagram that: “This will be my last post on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. I’ve never been interested in social media. And now that I’m settled into the life I’m genuinely inspired by reading and being in nature. I am free.”

She continues to support causes close to her heart
Despite being inactive in social media, Pamela continued to speak up and connect with fans through The Pamela Anderson Foundation.
The foundation, which supports and funds causes such as Peta, the National Sexual Violence Resource Centre and The International Fund for Animal Welfare, also publishes videos, letters and poetry from Anderson on its website.
She has no plans to watch Hulu’s Pam & Tommy
Despite having an entire Hulu series dedicated to her life, a source close to Anderson told Entertainment Weekly that she had no interest in ever watching Pam & Tommy: “I do know she’ll never, never watch this. Not even years from now. Not even the trailer,” the source said.

The showrunners reportedly tried to reach out to Anderson several times during development, but never received a response. However, they were still able to proceed with the series without her permission by optioning the rights to a Rolling Stone article, published in 2014.
Slap back? She will instead release her own Neftlix documentary
Anderson made an abrupt return to social media on March 3, 2022, to announce that she will be releasing a documentary in partnership with Netflix.
The photo featured a note, apparently in Anderson’s handwriting, which reads:
Meet Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s millionaire sons, Brandon and Dylan
Variety revealed that this film will include interviews with Anderson, archival footage and access to her personal journals. Well, we’re excited, anyway.
