Nadya, 45, hit the headlines in 2009 when she gave birth to eight healthy children, with her previous four sons and two daughters conceived by IVF.

She uploaded a snap of the troupe celebrating their birthday wearing party hats, as she gushed about how lucky she was to be their mother.

Nadya wrote on Instagram: “Happy birthday to my beautiful angels.

“You are some of the kindest, most compassionate, caring human beings I’ve ever known. Words cannot express how grateful I am to be your mother.

“I never planned on having octuplets (8 born simultaneously), though I wanted a big family (not THIS big lol) … hopefully, one day you will watch/read my true story.”

Nadya has recently begun sharing her childrens’ lives on social media, in particular their diet.

The mum follows a strict vegan diet, and says 13 of her kids do, with the youngsters allowed to enjoy one vegan ‘junk food’ night a week.

She said: “I’m sharing just a glimpse of how healthy my kids and I live.

“My daughter Calyssa (pictured ingesting raw chard) has internalized and now exhibits similar healthy behaviors as me.

“My oldest, Eli, used to eat burgers nearly daily, and now is vegan on his own volition.

“Personally, I am a predominantly raw, ethical vegan (I refuse to condone or contribute to the unnecessary, merciless suffering of sentient beings).

“I allow my children (and myself) to enjoy some vegan ‘junk’ once per week at the most.

“-Golden potatoes and yellow onions: Roast in the oven after adding a little spring water in trays, onion powder, garlic powder, Himalayan salt, and black pepper (we eyeball all measurements).

“-Sweet mashed potatoes: simply boil in spring water till soft (never use tap as it becomes more toxic when boiled). Mash (we prefer to keep the skin to preserve more vitamins). Add a dash of cinnamon and even nutmeg, nothing else as they are naturally sweet.

“-Dried black beans, and dried rainbow beans, cooked separately though the same: Depending on quantity cooked (we make several bags a day!)

"We dice two large onions for four bags. Soak dried beans in spring water (we soak overnight). Boil beans and onions in spring water, add onion and garlic powder, and Himalayan salt to your liking.
