- BamBamDoncaster, United Kingdom306 contributionsGreat experienceFantastic tourist spot. Enjoyed the full walk from the 2 stone pillars up to the 4 collums and then up 100 steps to the museum. Amazing views! Cafe halfway up so we stopped for a drink and a sit down. Turn right at the museum, left at the carpark and up the path, this will take you all the way through to the main road where the Olympic stadium is on the left. Go past the Olympic stadium down the main road and it takes you to the cable cars which go up to mountjuic Castle. Now that is a view! Wowser! Only complaint. All fountains off due to draught. Such a shame as was looking forward to the magic fountain.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 15, 2024

The views on the cable car were a bit better than the ones on the mountain but we didn’t go on the top of the castle so the views were probably better there. - Thomas VOakland, California17,135 contributionsMuseums, ViewsThis very large park looms over the port and harbor and contains several world class museums. Also one comes here for spectacular views of the sea and the city below. There are a couple of Metro stations nearby, but the hill is steep and you may need a bus or cab ride to get to the upper reaches. There are escalators on one side.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 5, 2024
- SophieCoventry, United Kingdom283 contributionsStunning viewsWe took the cable cars from the bottom to the top. Bought return tickets online for €30 for two people. Entrance at the bottom is right by the public transport. Small queue to go through. We were in a cable car with another couple on the way up, we got off at the top, walked down to the middle entrance and got a cable car in the way down just the two of us. Really quick, some swaying but only when we stopped briefly. Stunning views, love big park, would recommend. There is a small outdoor cafe halfway between the top and middle cable car entrance where you can buy grab a pint!Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 26, 2024

Large park with a pretty view of Barcelona!! Many steps involved and definitely seems empty in the evening. The funicular is a good way to get up.

Some parts of Montjuic are lovely, some parts are not so lovely. There are very few directional signs if you decide to walk back down from the castle, we veered off course and met quite a few people doing the same thing. There are no toilets either so be warned!
The Olympic park is worth a visit and the walk down to Font Magica was nice but there are a lot nicer things to do if your time in Barcelona is short.

Great park on Montjuic. I think the nicest way to get up here is to take the underground to Parallel station and then the funiclar (with the same ticket) up to the station where you take the cable car. Then you can walk around the park and enjoy the views and also go visit the castle as well.

After riding the teleferique, we enjoyed a long walk through the park to the museum. The hill is steep so plan to walk downhill. There is bus service. There are sites from the Olympics, plus museums.

Hola.

Can you access the park at any time? I’m planning to come and watch the sunrise in March so would be early(ish) about 7am entry

Where is the cable car located? Thanks!

If you go to the metro station you will se the exit and entrance and then a ramp if you go up the ramp you will see it there is also some signs around to help you find it
Good luck and I hope you enjoy it if you go!!

We would like to watch the fountains from here , is it a safe area to walk around at night ??
Written June 17, 2019
we visited Barcelona many times now and have always felt very safe. if you are sensible then I cannot see any reasons why you couldn't go here at night.

I do not speak Spanish, so I will answer in English. It is open everyday 10:00 to 18:00 until 28th February and from 1st of March 10:00 to 20:00.

Ciao, mi spiegate un pochino meglio come visitare Montjuic? Conviene portarsi in zona con i mezzi pubblici e poi salire a piedi? Oppure utilizzare funicolare o teleferica?
Written February 1, 2019

Salve!

Hi, if i buy my tickets online, do i have to print them out or are etickets accepted? Thank you.
Written August 8, 2018
As far as I know entry to the park is free. But entry to the castle and things like the cable car ride will cost you. No need to buy tickets online.
