Biologists have confirmed the first case of cancer in a Small-Mouth Bass caught in the Susquehanna River.The Pa. Fish and Boat Commission says laboratory tests on this fish confirm the tumor on the mouth is cancer. The fish was caught near Duncannon, Perry County.Biologists have reported sores and lesions on many Susquehanna River Small-Mouth Bass since 2005, but this is the first confirmed cancer.There's no evidence cancer in fish is a health danger to people. But just to be sure, anglers are advised not to eat any fish with sores or lesions.
