CretAquarium Thalassokosmos

CretAquarium or Thalassokosmos (Greek: Θαλασσόκοσμος) is located 15 km east of the city of Heraklion near Gournes and it is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in marine life and ocean conservation. As the largest aquarium in Greece, CretAquarium is home to an incredible array of more than 250 marine species, from colorful fish to majestic sea turtles.

The aquarium is divided into several zones, each representing a different aquatic environment, from the shallow waters of the Mediterranean to the deep ocean. Visitors can explore these zones and get up close and personal with the creatures that inhabit them.
