Don is slick and well conceived on plot with lots of surprises along the way. When I was trying to work out originally whether this one was for me I wasnt sure how serious it was or whether it was a light Bollywood. For those who have the same question in mind - it isnt really light overall.
Don is an arrogant psychopath drug trafficker - and I'm afraid, unlike other Bollywoods, good doesnt win in the end and the nasties dont meet their consequences. This may not particularly bother you or you may like endings that arent politically correct. For those not in that category be aware that the surprise ending actually left me and my adult daughter feeling quite uncomfortable and gave us a restless nights sleep after. Those we had identitified with dont triumph (sorry about the spoiler but you may need to know that if you want to assess whether this is for you).
I have given it a 5 because of its quality but a different ending would have made me more excited about this movie.
Given the amoral ending its fascinating that Indians wanted to do this movie twice (it is a remake of an earlier celebrated one) and seem to love the character of Don.
The music was fine but none of it stayed with me or stood out. A few of the dance sequences were good so there was song and dance amongst the plot (something I also wasnt sure of when reading prior reviews).

I was captivated in this SRK movie and enjoyed the twists and edginess. Story line, characters, and filming style are great! End will make you want to watch it again. Quickly went on to watch Don 2 which may have even topped the first one. Can't wait for Don 3 to come out - so glad it's in the plan to film after Salute is finished filming. Will enjoy re-watching Don and Don 2 while I wait.

I bought the DVD because I had seen the movie and liked it so much I wanted to buy it so that I could watch it again and again. I am very satisfied with the DVD. Received it promptly and very good condition. If you get this movie you will want the next one (Don 2) because it is like a continuation of the first. Shahrukh and Priyanka are great in this movie and Shahrukh has a way of making the worst characters seem likable and forgivable. In this case, even a little humorous at times. It's an action movie as well, and the second version has even more action.

J'ai du regarder 2 fois le film pour comprendre que le sosie avait été assassiné par Don, je n'ai pas l'esprit lent à ce point, mais bon, encore une fois un des méchants n'a pas été puni et c'est ce à quoi je m'attendais. Toutefois cela ne fait rien, enfin je veux dire, j'ai quand même adoré ce DVD et Shahrukh Khan, quel acteur, je ne me lasse pas de regarder ses films, c'est devenu mon comédien préféré, tous acteurs confondus. Il peut tout jouer et peut exprimer tous les sentiments. Bien sur le DVD est sous-titré en anglais, mais comme il y a beaucoup de termes français dans la langue anglaise, un peu d'anglais dans la langue française et des souvenirs d'école, on s'en sort très bien. Je suis très satisfaite et je regarderais très souvent cet excellent trhiller pour me faire passer d'agréables moments.

On perd un peu le fil dans cette histoire où Shahrukh Khan allias Don, n'a pas le rôle du gentil (au contraire c'est le pire de traffiquants de drogue), impossible à attrapper. Mais, les retours sur explication sont surprenants d'ingéniosité. L'action se situe en Malaysie essentiellement, en Inde et à Paris. Le faste bollywoodien type n'y est pas parce qu'il n'y a pas sa place. Mais il y a tout de même l'occasion de chanter (notament à la gloire de Don) et danser.
Loin des films à l'eau de rose de Bolliwood, "Don" est un film d'action ou amour et belles demoiselles ne sont pas oubliés.
