I tried another which turned out to be very difficult to setup a nd the sound was no where near what was claimed. It might have been sufficient for a live in caretaker but wouldn't work for us. I'll be 80 this year and the wife i a bit older. Although I have MS I mostly take care of her. I also am very deaf and we don't sleep together. In order to sleep I have to remove my hearing aids. Last month she fell after I was asleep and couldn't get up I found her early in the morning but she was so weak I couldn't get her up without help. In testing this it it does exactly as I wanted. In fact, it sounded louder without my aids than with them. Only thing I'd like to see is a smaller panic button she could wear around her neck without setting it off accidentally

I will tell my experience below, but the most important thing is that if you are not happy with the product, the company will take care of you, so there is no risk to try it and see if it works in your situation. That’s why I gave it 5-stars.

We live in a remote area in Costa Rica. 911 exists, but the police are normally a half hour away unless they happen to be patrolling nearby. We live in a community with lots of space between neighbors. We tested the alarm and asked our neighbors if they heard anything. The closest neighbors who were home were about 1/2 kilometer away. I can hear their dogs every day when they are doing their dog thing, barking and protecting their home, so the neighbors should be able to hear an alarm that is supposed to be the same decibel level as a rock concert. My neighbors couldn't hear it even though I messaged them and they went outside and tried to listen for it.

The instructions were totally useless. They don't tell you what you need to do to set it up. The drawings are so small you need a large magnifying glass to see them. I sent an email to the "Customer No Service" for some help and received no response. Of course, they don't have a phone number you can call from the US.
I will be returning this to amazon and look for a suitable replacement.

Works perfectly as a “panic button” in my small retail store where I wanted an option for my female clerks to have some recourse if approached aggressively by an intruder or customer. This thing is LOUD. Important to know: it comes with two activation modules. I put one by our front door and one by our cash stand. What I learned through experience is that you must cancel the alarm from the cancel button on the same module you used to activate the alarm. You apparently can’t trigger the alarm with one module and deactivate it from the other module. Not a big deal, but good to know…
