In an interview with Quien magazine, Mexican actress Ludwika Paleta broke her long silence and for the first time has spoken of the scandal in which her husband, Emiliano Salinas, is involved.

She is evidently back in Mexico but without her husband. His whereabouts are unknown.

Salinas was named by the United States Attorney’s Office as an accomplice of Keith Raniere, leader of the NXIVM sect and who was accused of sex trafficking of women, fraud and conspiracy for forced labor, among other crimes.

After spending some time on vacation in Europe, the actress returned to Mexico and said that her husband is very well and that despite the accusations they continue to maintain a relationship of union and love.

Paleta told Quien reported Arturo Perea, “It has been a difficult process. Fortunately, this situation has already been resolved in the United States courts. It has already been clarified. And then Emiliano was not sent to testify and did not mention it. We are calm and happy that this has already been clarified, there is a process where there are still things to solve but quite well, “said the actress on her way out of the Milan Theater, where a group of reporters were waiting for her.

“It has been a hard and bitter moment for us, for everyone. I think the most important thing is to clarify that both me and Emiliano are against and repudiate any act of violence and any act of denigrating any human being,” said the actress

The actress took the opportunity to make it clear that there is no distancing with her husband as stated by magazines that although the actress has shown her support for Emiliano, in reality the couple faced a crisis.

“We are together and we are strong and we are well and I will always support him,” she said.

Paleta said that she has a clear conscience and that she has nothing to hide and that people who know her know that she and her partner have not hurt anyone.

In addition, she was questioned about the rumors that she had also been marked by the sexual sect, like other women who denounced Raniere, however, she said that many things are said and that, “that is totally false”.

“Many things are being said but that is not so. There are many things that are said not only of me but of many people that are not true. All I can say is that I am calm, we are fine, I will start working hard and I have taken this time to be with my family,” Paleta added.

The businessman, son of former Mexican president Carlos Salinas de Gortari, was pointed out by a prosecutor in a court in Brooklyn, New York, as “co-conspirator,” as he created several email accounts used to discredit enemies of the organization run by Keith Raniere and where women were marked in the pelvic area and forced to have sex with Raniere.

Given the controversy unleashed, Salinas published a statement to ensure that as soon as he learned about the practices in the organization, he broke off all ties.
