Yes, the model was saved, in a way. I had to reimport the model from the simulator native format to *.blend again and reconstruct the hull which had a subdivision modifier on it. It wasn’t too difficult with the magnet tool and shrinkwrap modifier
Anyway, here’s the handrail setup in case anybody is able to help me solve this. The other handrail on the main superstructure seems to be a 90° turn, although this one is not, but 45° instead.
So. Now when running Blender 2.80, in horror I saw the bundled DirectX (.x) exporter is not there anymore. So, if anybody here at BlenderArtists.org knows of a free way to export my .blend to .x, then please, do not hesitate to leave a reply with a little piece of advice for me
Update! I’m working on decorating the bridge in Vehicle Simulator. I’m also using Blender 2.79 as an exporter only, as I want to avoid non-free solutions of exporting my work as .x. Anyway, here’s a screenshot
The navigation instruments on the panels are not made by me. They are placed manually inside of Vehicle Simulator. The monitors and geometric objects are done by me, but the instruments are not. They are premade inside of Vehicle Simulator.
