Buffalo Treehopper (Family: Membracidae) A Buffalo Treehopper I found on an overgrown part of the lawn. This individual was really skittish and always flew away when I got too close; luckily after two hours I was able to snap some close up photos. Also, if anyone can identify this insect to the species level That would be greatly appreciated:)  <br />

Buffalo Treehopper (Family: Membracidae)

A Buffalo Treehopper I found on an overgrown part of the lawn. This individual was really skittish and always flew away when I got too close; luckily after two hours I was able to snap some close up photos. Also, if anyone can identify this insect to the species level That would be greatly appreciated:)

    1. Thank you so much Ruth! It wasn't all patience though lol, there were lots of hoverflies and ladybird beetles in the same area as well so I photographed them while intermittently checking on the treehopper. Posted 2 years ago
